Here is a list of 10 things that you'll find at your home easily, and you can use them in Junk Journaling because they look beautiful on paper.
At a time when everything is locked down, it is even more difficult to get basic stationery.
But if you really want to make a spread, like really, but are unable to find appropriate materials to use in your junk journal, see closely (a distance of one meter to be maintained tho).

1. Newspaper
Newspapers can be used in a variety of ways. You can cut/tear the written part. You can cut out a particular word from the headlines, or crosswords to get perfect checks, or even cartoons and pretty pictures.
2. Brown Packets
We all get groceries, cosmetics, or medicines in brown envelopes. Save at least one of those, because they make a really pretty background for a journal spread.
3. Notebook Pages
Any notebook page would do, even the used ones where you have scribbled a lot. You can give them a vintage look by painting them with coffee+water.
4. Threads
Threads can be fun to use. Just cut a strand, put glue on the page in any form, and drop the thread not worrying what shape it will take.
If you want something neater, you can arrange the strands in checks or any other particular shape.
5. Old Magazines
Now magazines are dual-purpose. Look out for beautiful pictures, colored pages, or even colored strips that you can cut and paste.
6. Cotton
Cotton does wonders when you want to make clouds, or hair of a person, or cotton candy, or snow, or dress. And nothing like it when the cotton is colored. Who doesn't like color anyhow! (Sad ones don't, but well).
7. Ribbons
You might not have a new fresh roll, but there might be some pieces left from a gift packaging, or an old dress, or a rubber band. Alternatively, wool also serves as a good supply.
8. Buttons
Let's accept it, everyone saves those 'extra buttons' when the clothes are new. The only problem is finding them when needed. But now is the time. Look at all the corners.
9. Aluminum Foil
Use it like you would use any silver paper. In fact, an environment-friendly option would be to cut-up chips' or biscuits' packets and use them as silver papers.
10. Leaves
The fresh leaves will dry-up once you use them in your journal. And the dried ones anyhow are beautiful. Again, if you don't have plants at your home, steal from the neighbor. And
PLANT A SAPLING NOW!

Hi Pooja, you can use any kind of diary that you like or that is available with you. There are no restrictions. Even if you want to begin with a ruled notebook, it's completely fine and works well. I am glad I could help! Looking forward to what you make ♥️
