Journal With Me | Step Wise Junk Journaling #2

Before you plunge straight into journaling and stare at the blank sheet or wonder where to begin from; consider this tip- Narrow down the material that you want to use. Select at most five things that you would want to use in your journal spread.

Now that you have the material, let's begin.

Materials used:

(Note: A substitute for all these are also mentioned below)

Brown paper

Two printed photos

Fussy cutting cut-out

Black pen

Washi tape

A paper from any book

Step 1:

Paste a rectangle on the left top corner of the page. I have used brown paper. The paper is from the bag in which I got my groceries. This way you are also recycling stuff.

Step 2:

Place the printed pictures as shown in the picture. You can try any other alignment too.

After that, tear a rectangle from an old book and paste it. Again, you can place it wherever you like.

Step 3:

Above the rectangle from the book, I pasted a circular sticker. You can experiment with any kind of sticker that is available with you.

On the other sheet, paste a randomly torn paper from a book on one end. And on the opposite end, paste a rectangle torn from the brown paper.

Here as well, you can use any colored sheet that you want to. If you don't have enough supplies, you can consider painting the sheet or tearing some from a magazine/newspaper.

Step 4:

In this step, choose washi tapes that will compliment the theme of your journal spread. If you don't have tapes, you can even cut out strips from any paper too.

Paste them as shown in the image, or at any other place you feel appropriate.

At the same time, paste whatever fussy cutting piece you can get, which will suit your spread. Since mine had flowers, I also doodled butterflies using a normal black pen.

Step 5:

Next, you can fill the blank spaces by writing some text; like I did in the image.

To add some layering, I also pasted a white strip above the washi tape and wrote one word above it, which gives it a nice complex look.

In the final step, I pasted another sticker on the left page to complete the spread.

If you have followed the complete process, you might have observed that the steps are not difficult at all.

In fact, the whole process is not complicated at all. The only thing required is- to begin!
