What to do if journal pages are thin?| Journal With Me #4

If the pages of your journal are thin and bleed sometimes, you can cover them using different printed or plain papers. If that sounds good to you, this blog will give you a basic idea of how you can do that using limited journaling supplies.

Materials required:

A brown paper

Three patterned sheets (fussy cutting will help here)

One photograph (can be taken from a magazine)

Black pen

Glue

Scissor

Step 1:

Firstly, to cover the backside of the page that has bled ink/watercolors, choose one sheet that you will use along with the brown paper, and paste them as shown in the image.

Step 2:

Next, take another paper that would match the color of the sheet that you used in the first step. I chose pink because that's the kind of vibe my paper was giving.

From this paper, I cut a rectangle with curved edges. At the same time, I tore tiny strips from an old book and pasted them in the junk journal.

Step 3:

Next, I took another printed paper and pasted int above the rectangle. You can always play with elements and paste them however you like.

Step 4:

I cut an image (it can be whatever you like) in a circle and pasted it over a book's page, which I cut in a square. Pasting it above the printed sheet from the last step, created another layer, thus giving the whole spread a nice complicated look.

Step 5:

Whatever the colour of your theme is, you can now cut shapes with gradient colours, and paste them in the blank space.

In this same step, I also pasted the strips with pink flowers, which I got from a magazine. By using the same kind of colour palette, I am maintaining the theme and harmony of the journal spread.

Step 6:

The same paper that I used to cut the first pink rectangle was used to cover the edge of the pink floral stripe on the bottom, The interesting part is that I punched holes in the circle that I cut, and I used those same circles that I got from punching, to put on the border.

To sum it, I wrote a quote which was resonating the image that I had used.

So, the next time if your journal is leaking colours or ink, just know your can make something prettier with it!

Just Begin!
